Bombers split in Spokane

Richland got 18 points from Colter Quick but, after a 51-46 loss to Lewis and Clark on Saturday night, managed only a split in their weekend games at the Fitz Showcase in Spokane.

A Lewis & Clark run in the third quarter helped erase Richland's eight-point halftime lead. The Bombers rallied in the fourth quarter and had a chance to tie it with a minute left, but "we couldn't get it to go," Richland coach Earl Streufert said. "Then (the Tigers) got to the free-throw line and salted it away."

The Bombers beat Mead 73-55 on Friday night, thanks to Adam Baker's 20 points and seven rebounds against the Panthers.

"We should have come away with two wins," Streufert said. "We just let one get away."
