PASCO -- Chiawana girls basketball players Mikaela Rivard and Melanie Valdez are encouraging all fans to wear purple to tonight's game at Chiawana.
The Riverhawks are hosting Eisenhower at 7:30 p.m.
Fans will be wearing purple as the two teammates are helping to raise money to fight lupus, a disease that relatives of each player has.
They also will be accepting donations to go toward fighting the disease, as well as holding a raffle.

Local businesses including Applebees, Magills, Big Burrito, Yoke's Fresh Market and others are offering gift certificates that will be won in the raffle.
There will also be a 3-point shooting contest at halftime. It costs $1 to enter, and if you make your 3-pointer, you receive a free 2-liter bottle of soda pop.
