Big first quarter propels KeHS boys to win

KENNEWICK -- A big first quarter led Kennewick to an easy 66-50 CBBN 3A home victory against West Valley on Tuesday.

Kennewick jumped out to a 20-2 lead in the first eight minutes. Bryce Leavitt's 18 points, seven rebounds and seven assists led Kennewick.

"We were able to force a few turnovers and just played really solid defense," Kennewick coach Bradyn Leyde said of the first quarter. "It's a big win for us."

Jason Dresker's 10 points led West Valley.

Shad Fletcher's 17 points led the Braves to a CBBN 3A road victory.

Kamiakin jumped out to a 28-4 lead after the first quarter.

Brandon Search's 11 points, three rebounds and two assists led Pasco.
