YAKIMA -- Khadidja Toure had 21 points, eight steals and six assists to help pilot Kamiakin in a CBBN 3A 62-47 victory over West Valley on Friday in Yakima.

Toure fouled out with 4 minutes remaining in the fourth, and her sister Sira Toure followed, fouling out with 2 1/2 minutes to go. But the ejections served only to bolster the pluck of a Braves squad that led 48-36 at the end of the third.

"The whole team had to rally together," said Kamiakin coach Tammy Hutchison, who also noted that both the Braves and the Rams were 17 percent from the 3-point range and shot with 44 percent accuracy from the free-throw line.

Kassy Larson had eight points and hauled down 10 boards for the Braves, and teammate Courtney Nelson measured out six assists on top of her 12 points.
