Toure sisters lead Kamiakin to SunDome win

YAKIMA -- Khadidja Toure scored 16 points to lead all scorers and her sister, Sira Toure, added 11 points and five steals as Kamiakin used a strong fourth quarter to beat Davis 51-35 at the Yakima SunDome.

The Pirates started the game in a 1-3-1 trap on defense, which caused some problems for the Braves and produced a 12-10 lead.

Davis trailed by just two points at 31-29 after three quarters before Kamiakin outscored the Pirates 21-7 in the final frame.

"Sira picked up her defense and got some crucial steals at the right time," said Braves coach Tammy Hutchison.
