Douglas' double-double helps Richland rebound

MOSES LAKE -- The Richland Bombers bounced back from a tough loss Friday with a 68-56 CBBN 4A road victory at Moses Lake.

Calvin Douglas' 20 points and 12 rebounds led Richland, which lost at home to Davis on Friday.

Matt Franz's 21 points led the Chiefs.

RICHLAND -- Turner 6, Baker 5, Patterson 8, Burke 3, Gallinger 6, Lakes 8, Quick 12, Imhoff, Calvin Douglas 20. Totals 25-43 12-14 68.

Aaron Neary had a game-high 15 points to lead the Falcons to the easy CBBN 3A victory.

The Falcons had a big edge in rebounding, also led by Neary. Julian Figueroa's 11 points led Pasco.

Case Rada had 19 points, Garrett Anderson added 12 points and 10 rebounds, and Kamiakin won at home in a CBBN 3A matchup against Sunnyside.

West Valley 62, Southridge 45

One night after a big home win over Kennewick, the Suns fell hard in a CBBN 3A loss at West Valley.

The Rams got 17 points from Jalen Peake to halt Southridge's four-game winning streak.

"We used a lot of energy in (Friday's) win. We just didn't have any gas," said Suns coach Jason DeVere, who watched his team pull to within 2 points in the third quarter before West Valley pulled away. "We made a nice run at them but we couldn't get the stops we needed."

Matt Mendenhall led Southridge with 14 points.

Kennewick 59, Eastmont 57 (OT)

Bryce Leavitt sank in the game-tying 3-pointer with 1.5 seconds remaining and hit key free throws in overtime to lead visiting Kennewick to a CBBN 3A victory over Eastmont.

Leavitt had 22 points and 11 rebounds for the Lions.

"We're glad to win on the road," Kennewick coach Bradyn Leyde said. "And looking forward to playing Pasco."
