CBBN girls: Rivard leads Chiawana past Wa-Hi

WALLA WALLA -- The Chiawana girls had a couple of reasons to be at ease Saturday, and it resulted in an easy win at Walla Walla.

Former Blue Devils star Mikaela Rivard scored 17 points in her return and the Riverhawks cruised to a 63-19 victory, playing their 11th game on the road in their first 13 contests of the season.

Shelby Ellsworth and Hayley Hodgins each scored 14 points for Chiawana (4-1, 11-2).

Sadie Sparks added seven points and 14 boards for the Riverhawks

The Panthers bounced back from a tough loss Friday to win a CBBN 4A road game.

Michaela George's 22 points led Wenatchee, which lost 42-38 to Moses Lake on Friday.
