MOSES LAKE -- Jordan Loera had 20 points, Kayla Bernsen 18 and Kyleigh Gamez 13 to power Moses Lake 70-32 over visiting Davis.

Kennewick entered halftime with a six-point lead, but in the second half West Valley outscored the Lions 26-17 to pull out the CBBN 3A victory.

"We had our chances in the second half, and we didn't step up and take the game," Kennewick coach Tarah Staton said.

Angelique Whistocken led the Lions (2-7, 2-3) with 14 points. Madison Roberts was the Rams' top scorer with 10 points.

The teams meet again Feb. 1 at Kennewick, and Staton hopes her young squad gains a valuable lesson from Tuesday night's result against West Valley (6-3, 4-1).

"We have to learn how to take the game away and finish," Staton said.

Courtney Nelson scored 24 points, Khadidja Toure had 22 points and Amanda Miller grabbed 19 rebounds as Kamiakin (6-4 overall) defeated visiting Pasco to improve to 5-0 in CBBN 3A play.

Yessica Diaz finished with 22 points for the Bulldogs (1-10, 1-4).
