Domach, defense lead Kennewick boys

YAKIMA -- Kennewick's Domach Domach hit a game-winning 10-footer with 30 seconds left Tuesday, leading the Lions to a 42-40 CBBN 3A boys basketball victory over West Valley.

The Lions defense clamped down and kept the Rams from sending the game to overtime.

"We're happy to be where we're at in league and looking forward to moving on," Lions coach Bradyn Leyde said.

Domach finished with 10 points, while Bryce Leavitt had a team-high 14 points and four steals.

Derek Porter scored 23 points and Brad Scott had 19 points and 13 rebounds to lead Southridge (6-5, 4-1 CBBN 3A) to a home victory over Eastmont (6-4, 2-3).

Trea Thomas finished with 11 points for Eastmont.

Marcus Nash hit 6 of 8 free throws in the fourth quarter and finished with a game-high 18 points, leading Hanford to a CBBN 3A road win over Sunnyside.

The Falcons put four players in double figures, including Kurt Rueter (12), Aaron Neary (11) and Bear Braich (10), and hit 21 of 37 free throws during the game.

"We cut the lead to 12 with 41/2 minutes left, but they hit some free throws and a bucket to push the lead back up," said Grizzlies coach Ron Rowe, whose team shot just seven free throws. "They shot 15 free throws in the last 2 minutes. Even without that, it's still an astronomical total."

Tanner Urlacher scored 23 points and grabbed nine rebounds as host Eisenhower held off Walla Walla in a CBBN 4A game.

Seth Alden led Wa-Hi with 15 points and five assists, while Alex Ceron added 10 points and 14 rebounds.

The Blue Devils trailed by a point with 30 seconds remaining, but couldn't convert on two free throws and two shots from the floor.

At Davis, Jackson Marquis scored a game-high 23 points, including eight in a pivotal second quarter, and the Pirates rebounded from their first loss of the season on Saturday.
