State cross country: 4A boys race replay

PASCO -- Lewis & Clark's Kenji Bierig cruised to the win in 15 minutes, 9 seconds, finishing 18 seconds ahead of Greater Spokane League rival Andrew Gardner of Mead.

The one-two finish by the GSL runners belied how the race would go for the league, which lost the team title for the first time since 1987.

Eisenhower, the last team from outside of Spokane to win the title, edged LC by nine points.
