SPOKANE -- Cody Brockman scored a game-high 25 points and pulled down 13 rebounds, and Liberty Christian beat La Conner 62-59 in the 2B boys state tournament semifinals Friday at Spokane Arena.
Liberty Christian (21-2) will play Pe Ell (19-4) in the championship game at 6 p.m. today.
La Conner (19-4) will take on Davenport (17-6) in the third-place game.
Brockman, a 6-foot-3 senior forward, scored 29 points in the Patriots' opening win. Now he and his teammates will play in the program's first championship game, with a chance to win the school's second title (baseball in 2007).
