WSU-bound Simon leads All-CWAC squad

Ephrata senior Patrick Simon, who has signed a letter of intent with Washington State, was named the MVP of the boys All-Central Washington Athletic Conference.

First team -- Patrick Simon, sr., Ephrata; Matt Guevara, sr., Wapato; Ross Buchert, sr., Ephrata; Drew Washut, sr., Selah; Nick Longmire, sr., Selah; Christian Schrank, jr., Grandview.

MVP -- Patrick Simon, sr., Ephrata. Coach of the year -- Brandon Evenson, Ephrata.

Second team -- Ethan Sterkel, sr., Ellensburg; Rigo Alvarado, sr., Wapato; Tony Vela, jr., Grandview; Jay Cedargreen, sr., Quincy; Jeremy Cerrillo, sr., Othello; Jacoby Howe, jr., Wapato.
