CBBN boys: Pasco finally notches first win

PASCO -- Steven Ponce scored 19 points Friday night and the Pasco boys finally earned their first win of the season, defeating Moses Lake 65-55 in CBBN Columbia action at Chiawana High.

The Bulldogs led 31-18 at halftime and finally put a game away after seeing leads slip away against Kennewick and Chiawana in the past week.

"They were pretty disappointed Tuesday night," Pasco coach Winton Lytle said of the Bulldogs' controversial 68-67 loss to their crosstown rival Riverhawks, which only added fuel to Friday night's fire.

"They all felt they won it, and (tonight) they wanted to come out and show everybody they could put a 'W' on the board. They sure were happy."
