The Mid-Columbia Athletes of the Week for February 5, 2009.

Bowling

Brittany Blackketter, Soph., Kennewick

She rolled games of 177 and 182 to help the Lions win the CBBN district championship for the fourth time in five years.



Swimming

Marshall Goodrich, Sr., Moses Lake

He won the 200- and 500-yard freestyles and anchored the winning 200 free relay as the Chiefs beat Richland and Hanford to clinch the CBBN title.



Boys Basketball

Alfredo De La Barrera, Jr., Sunnyside

He had double-doubles in wins over Kennewick (16 points, 10 rebounds) and Hanford (10 and 10) and scored 15 points in a victory over Southridge.



Girls Basketball

Esther Timofeyev, Sr., Moses Lake Christian

She scored 34 points to lead MLC to an upset of league-leading Pateros, then scored 49 points in a victory over Easton.



Wrestling

Dustin Utecht, Jr., Richland

His third-round pin at 130 pounds helped Richland to a 44-26 CBBN Cascade dual-meet win over Kamiakin.
