Hansen tallies 2 goals as WWCC beats CBC

PASCO -- Walla Walla Community College sophomore Sami Hansen scored twice for the Walla Walla Community College women's team in a 2-0 shutout of host Columbia Basin College on Wednesday in an NWAACC East matchup in Pasco.

Hansen, a product of Borah High School in Boise, Idaho, scored in the fifth minute on an assist from sophomore forward Shae Yuma (Roseburg, Ore.) and in the 82nd minute unassisted.

Warriors sophomore Courtney Hancock (Southridge) recorded the shutout against the Hawks.

Walla Walla midfielder Mikey Luhrs, a sophomore from Meridian, Idaho, scored in the second minute on an assist from freshman Kentaro Bodzewski (Ballard HS, Seattle), and the Warriors held on for an NWAACC EAst win over host Columbia Basin.

WWU men 3, Wenatchee Valley 2

Jorge Rincon and Marco Martinez scored for Wenatchee Valley, but host Walla Walla University had the edge in a nonleague game.


Walla Walla Community College fell 25-11, 26-24, 25-11 in an NWAACC East contest against host Spokane.
