Columbia Basin JC falls to Everett 44-42 in opener

KENNEWICK -- Kamiakin grad Tim White caught seven passes for 117 yards and four touchdowns and Lucas Urlacher ran for 138 yards and a score, but it wasn’t enough as the Columbia Basin Junior College football team lost 44-42 in overtime to Everett on Saturday at Lampson Stadium.

It was the season opener for the Gladiators, last year’s Northwest Community College Football League champions.

Quarterback Carlin Andrew threw for 176 yards and five TDs. Gage Reynolds picked off a pair of passes to key the defense, and Devin Homer added three sacks.

CBJC will be on the road for the next three games, starting Sunday at Green River in Auburn.
