CBC men qualify for Final Four

PASCO -- The Columbia Basin College men's soccer team is headed back to the NWAACC Final Four.

Tito Cuevas crossed a ball in from the right wing to the far post, where forward Kurt Russell tapped it past Chemeketa goalkeeper Marshall Reese in the 85th minute, giving the Hawks a 1-0 lead in the NWAACC quarterfinal match at CBC soccer field in Pasco.

CBC (12-3-4) returns to the men's semifinals for the first time since 1999, when the Hawks won the NWAACC championship. CBC will face West region champion Peninsula (11-3-4) at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday at Starfire Soccer Complex in Tukwila.
