CBC women clinch East's No. 2 in soccer

PASCO -- The CBC women didn't get a win, but they got the result they wanted -- the No. 2 seed out of the East region.

The scoreless draw with visiting Treasure Valley puts CBC four points up on Spokane (7-4-3, 24), which lost to Walla Walla, with just one game to play. That locked the Hawks (8-2-4, 28) into second place.

"We'll take the point," said CBC coach Matt Mills, who led his team to the NWAACC title game each of the last two seasons. "We worked on everything today. We just couldn't put it in the back of the net."
