Columbia Basin alum Trevor Dunlap pitched two solid innings of relief to close the door on Washington’s 5-1 victory over visiting Oregon State on Saturday.Dunlap allowed a run in the ninth, but he struck out Danny Hayes to end the game.
The Huskies (11-25, 5-9) then broke out the bats, scoring eight runs in the eighth inning of the second game to win 10-3 and sweep No. 5-ranked Oregon State (29-8, 10-4).
Washington State 7, California 6: Jason Monda singled home Trace Tam Sing as the Cougars (19-17, 6-8) picked up a road win.
UCLA 1, Oregon 0: Nick Vander Tuig threw seven strong innings, allowing two runs and striking out six as the Bruins (25-10, 9-5) picked up a road win.
Cole Irvin pitched a complete game, allowing just the unearned run in the loss for Oregon (28-10, 12-5).
Arizona 10, Stanford 9: Brandon Dixon was 2-for-5 with a home run for the Wildcats (25-13, 9-8), who topped the host Cardinal (21-12, 8-6).
