WCL: Two Kelowna pitchers shut out Sweets

Cale CoShaw scattered six hits over 8 innings, and Dominic D’Souza pitched a scoreless ninth as the visiting Kelowna Falcons shut out the Walla Walla Sweets 5-0 in West Coast League play at Borleske Stadium on Saturday.

Cameron Alvarado, a Moses Lake product attending Gonzaga, was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs for the Falcons.

Richland High grad Brett Jacobs, playing at Washington State, had two hits for the Sweets.

Connor Lawhead, who was at Walla Walla Community College this past spring, pitched a strong four innings of relief for the Sweets in the loss. He surrendered two hits and an earned run while striking out three.
