FSN to broadcast WSU season opener

PULLMAN — Washington State University and FSN Northwest announced today that an agreement has been reached to televise the Cougars’ 2009 season-opening game against Stanford.

The Stanford game had previously been announced as a 5 p.m. start, but it has moved up to a 3 p.m. kickoff to accommodate FSN. The broadcast will also be available in HD.

The Cougars’ other scheduled TV appearance this season is vs. Notre Dame in San Antonio. That game will be on NBC and begin at 4:30 p.m. PT.

ABC-TV and FSN will select additional games during the season. Announcements will be made six or 12 days in advance of the games.

Season tickets, along with tickets for the Cougar Gridiron Classic vs. Hawaii are on sale. Tickets are available online at or by phone at 1-800-GO-COUGS.
