* 2006 -- The Kennewick American 10s bounced back from an opening-round loss at the Cal Ripken World Series in Lafayette, La., beating Oviedo, Fla., 9-5 for its fourth consecutive win. Mitchell Mueller pitched a complete game, and Clayten Ayers hit a three-run home run.
* 1995 -- Tri-City Posse pitcher John Welgarz threw a no-hitter in a 1-0 win over Palm Springs at Tri-Cities Stadium in Pasco. Welgarz, the Western Baseball League strikeout leader, struck out 15 batters, and Gil McDonough's RBI single in the fifth inning was all the run support he needed.
