1991 -- Jim Fisher had four hits, including a two-run home run, to lead the Kennewick Bandits to a 14-6 win over North Seattle for the program's first American Legion state championship. Chad Kirby homered and had three hits for the slugging Bandits, who averaged 15 runs a game in their five state wins. Mike Clayton went the distance on the mound.

1970 -- Steve Simpson shut out the Walla Walla Phillies 3-0 in Northwest League action, striking out 13 as the Tri-City Padres won their seventh in 10 games. Simpson also hit a solo home run.

1968 -- Bob Buckner's two-run home run with two out in the top of the ninth inning led the Tri-City Atoms to a 6-5 Northwest League win over the Eugene Emeralds. It was his second home run of the game.
