1997: The Kennewick Dusters remained alive in the Senior American Legion state tournament, defeating Lakeside Recovery of Bellevue 13-2 at Carlon Park in Selah. Greg Brooks led Kennewick with a two-run triple and a grand slam.

Meanwhile, the Columbia Basin River Dogs' season ended with a 5-3 loss to the Vancouver Cardinals.

* 1988: Ron Wright and Geoff Bechtol combined on a two-hitter to help Kennewick National advance to the state Little League tournament semifinals with a 3-0 victory against Highline East of Seattle in Olalla.

Brian Miller scored on an error to put Kennewick National on the board in the first inning. The next two runs scored on passed balls, and Kennewick National moved on to play Northshore American of Bothell.
