1992 -- Chip Hanauer piloted Miss Budweiser to first place in the Columbia Cup, winning his fifth consecutive race of the season. Hanauer fought back pain throughout the day, and was forced to skip the first turn during his victory lap because the turbulence on the river was so high that he couldn't stand the pain.
1983 -- Richland's Kathy Claypatch defeated Kirkland’s Kathy Hermann 3 and 2 in the first round of the Washington State Women's Golf Association Championship in Everett.
1975 -- The U-74 Weisfield's boat had the fastest qualifying speed of 122.630 miles per hour. Miss U.S. was second at 120.968, and Pay 'N Pak was third at 120.001.
