* 1983 -- Senior swingman Ernest Saunders scored a game-high 24 points and the sixth-ranked Pasco boys basketball team shot 84 percent in the second half in a 79-60 win over Richland before the third sellout crowd of the season at the Bulldogs' gym. The victory was the fifth straight win and eighth in nine games for coach Mike Guajardo's club, pushing it into sole possession of first place in the Big Nine. Scott Frick led the Bombers with 17 points.

* 1969 -- One night after losing 99-69 to Spokane and still battling a bout of the flu, the Columbia Basin College men sprint past the visiting Shoreline Samurai 102-77. Mike Hoke scored 26 points and Tod Huber 20 as the Hawks topped the century mark for the second time that season as they improved to 5-6 in the Eastern Division of the Washington Community College Conference under coach Dick Hannan. At one point, Shoreline has six players on the floor during play.
