* 2000 -- Ron Sevigny and Ryan Perry combined for 30 points to lead Hanford to a 57-46 win over Richland at Art Dawald Gym in the opener for both teams. The Falcons hit 25 of 37 free throws in a tightly-called game. Travis Buck and Jeff Stowe led the Bombers with 10 points apiece.
* 1990 -- A 50-minute stoppage in play thanks to two shattered panes of rinkside glass delayed a 5-3 Tri-City Americans' loss to the Kamloops Blazers. Kyle Reeves gave Tri-City a 2-0 first-period lead, but Kamloops stormed back to win at Tri-Cities Coliseum.
* 1972 -- Jeff Byrd had 29 points and Oliver Ogden added 18 as Columbia Basin powered to a 96-87 win over Big Bend in CBC's home debut at Pasco High School gym. It was the Hawks' second straight victory and third in four starts.

* 1968 -- Steve Panther scored a game-high 20 points for Columbia Basin College, but Portland University's freshman squad put five players in double figures in an 83-71 win in Portland. Todd Huber and Bob Utecht combined to add 29 points for the Hawks.
