* 1999 -- Hillary Harnasch scored two goals as the Columbia Basin women's soccer team wrapped up its first undefeated season with a 4-0 victory over Spokane in an NWAACC Northeast Division match.

* 1989 -- Clarkston rallied from an 18-point deficit to defeat Prosser 19-18 in a state football playoff game. With 14 seconds left, Clarkston quarterback Joe Delaney scored on a 1-yard lunge to lift the Bantams. The Mustangs had won nine in a row before the loss, which knocked them out of the state playoffs for the third consecutive year.

* 1969 -- Officers and directors of the Richland Rod and Gun Club for 1970 were elected at a meeting of the club members in Richland. The elected officers were: Ken Wise, Kennewick, president; Jack Fletcher, Kennewick, vice president; Delia Teeple, Richland, treasurer; and Roberta Wise, Kennewick, secretary.
