* 2000 -- Raul Vijil scored three touchdowns and caught six passes for 125 yards, Skyler Allen passed for 224 yards and four TDs, and Kyle Lamb rushed for 109 yards as Pasco defeated Gonzaga Prep 33-3 in a 4A regional football playoff.

* 1995 -- Paul Deese was headed for Oregon today to meet with Ken Wright to discuss purchasing the Tri-City Posse Western Baseball League franchise from Wright. Deese would trade his one-third ownership in the Sonoma County Crushers to help complete the deal.

* 1961 -- Wayne Heriford received a trophy for winning the club golf championship at the Richland Golf and Country Club. Willie Baker was honored for winning the women's club championship.

* 1959 -- Jim Wickwire scored on touchdown runs of 84, 75 and 16 as Columbia Basin College finished its football season with a 33-13 win over Olympic. The Hawks finished the season with a 5-1 record, but Wenatchee finished in first place with a 5-0-1 mark.
