State Sen. Sharon Brown has done a great job giving the 8th Legislative District a voice in Olympia.
While there she co-authored an article with Sen. Janea Holmquist Newbry that addressed the need for Worker's Compensation reform. Because this is such an important issue, that article was published in the Puget Sound Business Journal. I am a small-business owner and the increasing cost of Worker's Compensation is of great concern to me.
The state Legislature must address the high cost of doing business in Washington or risk companies moving out of state. Changing laws will improve the business landscape statewide, and during Brown's short tenure in the Senate, she was able to get bills signed into law that will streamline government regulations to make Washington an easier place to run a business.
When she was the mayor pro tem of the city of Kennewick, she also was very helpful in creating an atmosphere where businesses can thrive. She helped to create the one-stop shop in the city of Kennewick that facilitated businesses' ability to function.
She is looking out for us small-business owners and representing us well in Olympia.
Please join me in voting for Sharon Brown for state Senate.
