Letter: Young people should vote and voice their opinions
Believe it or not, Election Day will be upon us very soon. In a matter of weeks, 2016 will be here, and then a chance to vote for a new president.
We the people hold the power to vote a new president in. However, not all of us take advantage of the power we hold. At the age of 18, we become accountable to register to vote, but we don’t all do this.
As a matter of fact, every four years when a new or incumbent president is voted into office, there seems to be less and less young adults involved in the elections. This is frightening because there is a large number of young adults (primarily those of age 18-21) who can vote and choose not to.
With all the topics spiraling in this new election, there should be incentive for these young adults to vote. Instead of later complaining about having a bad president, they should take action and register to vote to voice their opinions through politics.
