I was just like to thank the emergency room personnel to the surgical team (after hours) to the pediatrics department at Trios for all the compassion, understanding and care that was extended to my grandson, who is 6 years old.
The morning he was to return home to Alaska, he fell off the monkey bars at the Playground of Dreams and broke his arm (both bones) and required surgery that evening.
The emergency room was amazing as they worked diligently to set the bone so that the family could make their flight. When this wasn’t to be, Dr. Theil was able to set the arm that evening. Everywhere we turned there were familiar faces to help make this experience a little bit better.
Also a special thanks to all the quilt guilds that make quilts and donate them to the hospitals through Project Linus. That quilt made my grandson’s day! It helped him feel just a little bit better!
