State representative Larry Haler’s lame excuse that he really meant to vote for the state transportation package but didn’t because he was tired and hit the wrong button defies credibility (Our Voice, 7/8/15)!
The transportation package included many badly needed infrastructure projects to sustain the future economic development of the Tri-Cities. It was arguably one of the most important votes he has made as a state representative.
I had assumed that it was a lost cause to assume that Rep. Brad Klippert would follow Sen. Sharon Brown’s courageous lead, but I held out some hope for Haler. His excuse suggests that he is either incredibly cynical or mindlessly disengaged. Either way, his actions should be remembered during the next election cycle.
Actions have consequences, and this is no exception!
