Regarding a hit and run, Thursday, June 18.
Coward: You hit my son on his bicycle with your red Silverado at the corner of Columbia Center Boulevard and Grandridge. Then you wheeled around him and raced south.
The officer wondered how he was still alive; the EMT didn't understand why he was walking. I have placed angels around my son for many years.
He had looked both ways before the crosswalk light came on. He started out, saw you and couldn't get out of your way. I think you were driving too fast.
Now he has no transportation and is still recovering from his injuries. My son is trying to work; he’s a young man struggling to live on his own — wondering how he will pay the ER and the doctor’s bills.
You may snicker and think “I got away with it.” Jesus says "The greatest of these is love." Did you have any compassion? Did you think this might be your son, brother or father?
There is someone watching! Some day you will have to answer the God of the Universe for your actions. I think you have some things to ponder.
