After reading the letter to the editor April 29, I am amazed at the writer’s lack of knowledge of biblical history. He states the early writers of the New Testament did so for money or power. If the writer will read his Bible, he will discover that of the 12 Apostles, 10 were martyred and only one (Judas) sold out for money. He states that the Bible or Koran have caused much trouble over the years. It isn’t the Bible which has caused the problem, but the people who have taken parts of it out of context and made an issue out of it.
The Bible is the inspired word of God and no contradiction is present. Jesus is God’s son. He died and arose on the third day. All of the founders of the religions the writer mentions, have had earthly bodies. When they died they were buried, and if one were to know where their burial was, their bones can be found. Jesus died, was buried and arose on the third day. We know where he was buried and no bones can be found. Psalms 14:1 says “a fool says in his heart there is no God.”
