Letter: New leaders needed

It's time for President Obama to resign, retire and go live happily in Hawaii and have Vice President Biden take the leadership. Whatever faults Biden has, I believe he is in a different category than the president, who does not appear to value honor, to desire to be honest and who appears not to equally want the best for all Americans.

It is heartbreaking to watch a man lie with such ease, all along knowing that there are people and videos and other evidence that show the truth.

I truly don't understand an ideology that is so strong it causes the loss of common sense, does not keep the promise to equally protect the American people and disregards integrity of actions.

Note: I contributed to President Obama's campaign in 2008 but not 2012.

It probably would make things much better if the speaker of the House and the majority leader of the Senate also retired or resigned. We did not elect them to do nothing. Their sum total achievement seems to be calling one another names, coming up with reasons not to work for the American public and in the majority leader's case, picking out people he does not like and berating and lying about them.

What has happened to this wonderful free nation of ours and that great spirit of being America that propelled us to the top?
