Letter: Crypto currency
There has been a recent boom in the use of online currencies and most people have been hesitant to get into them as they do not truly understand them. How can something that I cannot see or hold or even quantify be worth money?
It is quite simple actually. There is an algorithm that was created that doles out a set amount of "coins." People can solve this algorithm or small pieces of it in order to acquire pieces of a coin. From there, people have put value on these pieces in accordance with their supply and demand, and their use for purchase both online and in real life, just like any real currency.
So in reality these "coins" are almost like a real currency. The advantage to these however is they cannot be stolen from you! You store them in your own personal "wallet," which is kept safe by a password that you set. No one can access your funds without your password; even if they steal your virtual wallet they have no way in. This in a sense makes these crypto currencies even safer than real money, so why not do some research and possibly give them a try?
