Even in a minimum wage job, a person has to be able and willing to do their job to the standards that it is expected by the employer, or they risk possible termination. Also, if a company does not provide the services or merchandise that they promise to the public, people stop paying them and they go broke, leaving people jobless. If they do questionable or wrong deeds, they even have a threat of punishment of serious fines and jail time. What really is keeping me up at night lately though, is the fact that I still am paying, along with every other tax-paying citizen, a federal government that has not been doing their job for the last eight years. And now they are shut down and not even working.
Six members of Congress from this state are not accepting their paycheck in a scheme to try and trick the public in thinking they're great. The fact is, none of them should be receiving paychecks while this is going on, and they should have been fired seven years ago. The real question is: Why are we paying taxes to a federal government that is not working?
