I object to spending research money in such a frivolous way of overflying forest fires and wild fires to determine their effect on so-called "global warming." To me, it is but another government boondoggle that results in a great waste of taxpayer funds. We have had forest fires and range fires for eons and now Brookhaven has a government grant trying to connect them to global warming. To me, global warming is a scam led by our previous vice president who has made millions capitalizing on this phony issue.
When I worked at Hanford on the Basalt Waste Isolation Project we had weather cycles studied by prestigious universities who clearly showed through history that weather and temperatures were very cyclical and had occurred over many centuries. Talk to the Hanford geologist Bruce Bjorstad. He speaks publicly on the ice age and the great flood that occurred in the northwest when the climate warmed up creating much of our topography. To think there is a new phenomenon caused by human use of fossil fuels is a real stretch.
