In response to Gary F. Boothe's June 14 letter, "GOP needs reform." As a conservative Republican, I find it disingenuous that people on the other side of the political spectrum believe they have this innate ability to not only know that what they state is absolutely irrefutable but to tell Republicans how to become better citizens and win elections.
If you wish to state your opinion, disagree or debate, I am all in, but quit talking down to us like we are knuckle-dragging Neanderthals with no intelligence or common sense.
This author goes into several Democratic/liberal talking points to portray Republicans in a negative light, using the term "science indicates" or "science suggests" numerous times, as if the thorough and exhaustive search of the science he used to base his opinion on is even what science is. So just for fun let's look at the definition of science: The observation, identification, description, experimental investigation and theoretical explanation of phenomena.
One more thing, what science was used for the Republicans to get the blame for the stimulus being too small, if I am not mistaken the Democrats controlled both houses, a filibuster-proof Senate and the White House.
