On June 21, the Columbia Basin Badgers Club held a forum entitled "Gun Violence: A Community Health Crisis." The forum featured a panel of three, all of whom had varying opinions on gun ownership, gun sales, mental health, etc. All three panelists were well received but the real standout was Chief Chris Skinner, director of Police Services for the city of Richland.
Skinner was knowledgeable, relatable and very much the professional. He was candid with his opinions and oftentimes humorous. He did not shy away from the tough questions and all of his answers were well thought out. The city of Richland is very fortunate to have Skinner on its staff.
I would welcome the opportunity to hear him speak again on any subject that relates to law enforcement.
