After reading the letter, "Sequestration kills jobs," on March 27, I feel compelled to vent. I'm getting sick and tired of people saying conservatives do not like President Obama because he is black. How dare anyone suggest what is in our hearts. We don't give a darn what color he is as long as he can do the job. We care about his entitlement/socialist/spending proclivities. He is slowly leading us down the same path that's breaking governments in Europe.
The letter intimated that history will rank Obama among the top of all presidents. I strongly agree if the only criteria are to sign blank checks, provide no bipartisan leadership and ignore the half of the country that did not vote for him. What we need are strong consensus builders who can reach across the aisle and bring the parties together in the best interest of the country. I've seen no such leadership from Obama. He has he never brought the parties together to accomplish the countries business?
As far as sequestration is concerned, it's unfortunate the House, Senate and president can't come together to reduce spending and government waste instead of unnecessarily targeting programs that directly affect the middle class.
