Gratitude is a daily condition at Lourdes Medical Center. Lourdes is surrounded by a caring community generously supporting the oldest and only privately operated hospital in the Tri-Cities.
We are especially thankful for a recent donation from Ron, Rella and Reed Reimann. They covered the entire cost of purchasing a LiteGait gait therapy device for the physical therapy and rehabilitations department.
The Reimanns, a Franklin County farming family and longtime supporters of Lourdes Foundation, made this gift in honor of a dear friend who was paralyzed in a car accident.
Those of us fortunate to be present at the LiteGait dedication saw the lift demonstrated by its namesake. We were deeply touched by that tender moment. She was assisted to stand to face her husband and tireless caregiver on an equal "standing" for the first time in more than a year.
The LiteGait was on the wish list of department staff for some time and has enhanced the quality of therapy services for many patients, giving them strength and balance for their physical lives. These patients feel more confident and are able to achieve goals more efficiently.
Many thanks, Reimann family, for your compassionate, spirit-led giving.
