It's in the bag

On June 21, Kitzke Cellars held its second annual purse auction to raise money for the Royal Family Kids Camp. Kitzke Cellars and camp supporters raised more than $4,500 in just three hours.

Royal Family Kids Camp is a national nonprofit organization that sends abused or neglected foster kids from our local community to camp for a week. The kids participate in many educational and interactive activities such as archery, arts and crafts, water activities and more. For more information about Royal Family Kids Camp, log onto www.rfkc.org.

For the auction, many businesses throughout the Tri-Cities donated products and services to be auctioned off or to fill the purses with goodies. There were also many vendors at the event who donated at least 10 percent of their sales for Royal Family Kids Camp.

This purse auction included many different slightly used or new designer purses such as Coach, Dooney & Bourke, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Prada and more. Next summer, we will continue with our third annual purse auction. You can find out more information about it at www.kitzkecellars.com or call 509-628-9442. We want to thank all of the businesses and individuals who came, supported and donated to this wonderful cause.
