I was appalled by the person who ignored the "Private Property, No Tresspassing," sign and drove down onto my property and spun his car tires and left ruts in the grass on the way out. I did not appreciate it or the work to repair the damage.
I was similarly upset by the person who ran down the pair of young ducks on Yakima River Drive about 6:30 p.m. on July 28 by Twin Bridges. Did that give him a thrill? I cannot understand why someone would intentionally destroy those beautiful birds. My wife and I laid those two dead bodies off the side of the road beside the irrigation canal where they were born.
I think people should have access to the river and be able to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the country, but they should also respect people's property and protect the wildlife, not destroy it.
