Prejudice is shameful, not policy. Ivar Husa's statment that Rob McKenna's statement regarding the Boy Scouts of America's policy regarding gay scouts and gay scout leaders would be "from a Republican candidtate, it was a surprise" shows his prejudice versus the class of people known as Republicans.
There are many gender-based separations in our society, and there are also sexual orientation-based differences that exist for similar reasons. We shouldn't have unisex restrooms nor should the Girl Scouts of American have to allow male scouts or leaders. The Boy Scouts of America desire to include heterosexual males, that is not necessarily a denial of homosexual rights. But to publically declare that Republicans, as a group, hate/deny/persecute gays is bigotry.
