State House: Parks

I am writing in support of Bob Parks for Washington State Legislature 8th District, Position 2.

As a recently retired combat disabled Army veteran of more than 21 years, I fully endorse his stand on the major issues effecting the Tri-City area. His strong leadership in support of veterans, education reform, protecting Hanford jobs and creating more jobs is what we need in Olympia.

Bob wants to set clear priorities for a stronger representative voice in Olympia for the district and he has the experience to do this.

During his 11-year tenure on the Kennewick City Council, he has thought independently and challenged several of its decisions.

This includes supporting Kennewick Police Chief Ken Hohenberg with tougher gang enforcement, drug testing welfare recipients and supporting the Mid-Columbia Energy Initiative.

Bob is one to choose the path of the less traveled, by raising questions during council debates. His economic voting record is solid and forward thinking, which is crucial if the state is to maintain a strong balanced budget and remain fiscally strong for years to come.

Bob Parks is the clear choice to really listen to our concerns and bring leadership and integrity to Olympia on behalf of all Tri-Citians.

Matt Boehnke, Kennewick
