Perhaps someday the liberals will realize that the more gun laws that are passed, the more victims of crime we have. Restrictions on law-abiding citizens often prevent them from having a gun on their person with which to defend themselves or others around them.
And there have been numerous instances of mass shooting in this country where one or more armed people in the crowd could have saved lives by shooting the assailant.
In last Saturday's Herald there was an article about a man pulling his gun and intervening in a shooting in a Yakima parking lot, thus possibly preventing the victim from being killed. And there are instances all over this country where similar events take place.
The sad thing is that many more lives could have been saved if we hadn't disarmed the law abiders.
Gun-control laws only control those who respect law, not the criminal minded. I refer to an example that occurred in this state. The park ranger who was shot and killed by one who didn't have any respect for any other laws. Why do you think he would respect a gun control law? He didn't! Duh!
A gun-control law we need is one that prevents the Justice Department from running guns across the border into Mexico such as occurred in "Fast and Furious" in which one of their agents was killed by one of those guns and in which many Mexican people have been killed by those guns.
