I am here today because of the efforts of a many persons within the community that I want to thank. On Feb. 6, I entered Kadlec Hospital for what I thought was an angiogram and a possible stent. I woke up two days later after being resuscitated and undergoing an emergency quadruple bypass operation. I was fortunate to be in the right place at the right time.
I am forever indebted to Dr. Qandeel and his team, Dr. Jamali and his team, Dr. Wadwha and his team, especially the on-duty Code Blue Team. Many thanks to the hospitalists, nurses, CNAs, medical technicians, laboratory analysts and other Kadlec staff members. My survival was enhanced by my daughter Wendy’s phone call to her husband, Mike, to check on me resulting in timely arrival of Code Blue team.
My recovery was aided by personnel from Richland Fire Department, Home Health Care, and Kadlec Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation. Thanks to family members and friends who have gone out of their way to provide support. Kudos to my wife, Nancy, for her constant care and attention through this difficult journey.
Thanks for giving me the additional opportunity to participate in my family’s life and in life’s journey.
