It might not even achieve the suspension of belief necessary to watch a Star Wars episode or The Wizard of Oz.
It was, instead, fact masquerading as pure theater.

According to local law enforcement, two west-side men installed a card-reading device on an ATM at a Pasco bank and returned to check on it again and again.
And again. At least six times, police say.
The last time was one too many. Police, the Treasury Department and cooperative bank officials were waiting for them.
We've heard that the criminal always returns to the scene of the crime, but that sounded to us more like urban legend than fact.
These guys seem to have approached this ATM like they worked for a soda pop company and this was a cold drink machine on their route.
Early word from court is that one has been charged and the other is being held for the U.S. Immigration and Customs agency.
It sounds like show biz has met grim reality.
